This is a single wrap bracelet. It can be made in 2 or 3 wraps just by lengthening the leather cord and doubling or tripling the number of beads.
Your bead choice is unlimited, and the quantity will depend on how you string them. For the basic tile bead bracelet in the sample, I used 21-23 beads to make a 7 ½” bracelet.
Materials List:
24” round leather cord in 1mm, 1.5mm or 2mm ( Add approximately 16” for each additional wrap)
Thread to match your cord. C-lon or similar type size D is recommended. You must be able to fit 3 threads through your bead. Jean style sewing thread works, and Fireline should be your last choice.
A button that will attach to the beginning of your bracelet ( Shank or one with holes large enough to pass the leather cord through.
Beads. I will demonstrate with glass tile beads. Pearl and stone beads look well, but their holes are smaller. You can use size 8o and 6o seed beads or spacers in multiples as well. Be creative!
A big eye needle is helpful. You may also stiffen the ends of your thread if the doubled thread in the needle doesn’t work.
Please contact Kathy Taylor if you have any questions about the project.
