The Bead Society meets at the Cape Cod Cultural Center in Yarmouth on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Bead Society Membership will be open to new members beginning January 2023. Class in Wire Wrap Earrings

Have you ever made a beautiful necklace and wanted earrings to match but just can't get the wire wrapping right? Well Linda Lord will teach you how the pro's do it to make a wonderful finished product you will be proud to wear.

From simply making the loop and attaching it to the earring finding to wrapping one or more briolettes, she will show you how. This is a must lesson to complete your jewelry making skills. Attached is a picture of several different uses of the wire wrap technique. A list of supplies is listed below. If you do not have all of the required tools, there will be extras for you to use at the meeting.

If you don't have time to acquire wire-wrapping materials before the meeting, we will have kits available. Kits will be $4.00 and include 20 sterling head pins and 2 sets of sterling french ear wires.

Supply list and tools for wire wrapped earrings:

Supplies:

spool 20 gauge craft wire for practice. 10 - 2" long sterling head pins, .022 gauge 3/4 hard. 10-20 6-8mm semi precious stone beads that will fit on the head pins for earrings. various sterling Bali beads,4mm bicone Swarovski crystals that will also thread on the head pins. 1 or 2 pair sterling french ear wires. work surface,placemat or bead design tray Ott -light if needed

Tools 1-round nose plier 2-chain nose pliers 1-flush cutters or nippers to cut the wire 1-bend nose pliers or an additional chain nose plier

Kits including the head pins and ear wires will also be available for $4.00, but bring your own beads and tools. Some extra tools will be available at the meeting.
