Hi everyone,
Welcome back! Our next meeting is Thursday, January 21st. This month’s lesson will be to create a “Puffy” triangle, which is basically a triangle with a front and a back. I would like you to make your basic triangle before class ( yes, homework!). That way, we can get right to work and it will be much easier if we all go step-by-step together
YOU WILL NEED:
Size 11o beads in 2 colors- a teaspoon or two of each will be sufficient. NOTE: Please keep in mind that the uniformity of your beads will make an enormous difference in the quality of your work, so please, buy some good beads-Miyuki or Toho are good choices. Do NOT mix brands. If you have difficulty, try using 8o seed beads. Also remember that opaque beads are easier to see than silver-lined transparent shiny ones. If you are daring, try some Delicas.
Needles in size 10 or 12.
Any beading thread of your choice. .
..And the usual scissors, mat, etc.
BRING TO CLASS 1) 2 pre-made triangles, in 2 colors, one for the ribs (Herringbone) and the other for the sides (Peyote). 2) A sufficient quantity of the same beads to work the back
Constructing your triangle: Start with a rather long length of thread and pick up 3 beads to form a ring. Refer to our first sheet from September.
Use one color for the ribs, the other for the sides. Work 10 rows if using 11os, 8 rows if using 8os. Leave your thread hanging.

Still having trouble? We can arrange a half hour class before the meeting at 6:30 BUT YOU MUST LET US KNOW AHEAD OF TIME.
