Hi everyone,
At our next meeting, we'll be making the Chevron bracelet. If you look at the pictures, you can see how you can go casual or formal and really make this bracelet your own.
There is homework to do to get the bracelet base out of the way. You can see both sides of the bracelet in the pictures, to give you an idea of how the bracelet should look.
Supply List:
Size 8 seed beads (approximately 1 gram for the base)
Size 11 seed beads (approximately 1 gram each of two or more colors)
Toggle clasp
6lb Fireline
Mat in contrasting color to your beads.
Light and extension cord if necessary.
Homework
Put on a stop bead leaving approximately a 6" tail.
String on six Size 8 seed beads
Bring needle up through the first three beads added and pull.
Bring needle now through beads four, five and six and pull.
Add three more Size 8 seed beads and bring needle through last three beads of the previous row. Pull together.
Bring needle down through three beads just added. Continue until desired length.
Forty-four rows is approximately 7". Allow about 1" for clasp. Do not end thread.
November Meeting - Holiday Potluck
Our November meeting will be a holiday potluck. If you plan to attend, please come prepared to sign up for a dish at the October meeting and bring a wrapped, bead-related item, worth between $10-$15 for the gift exchange.
