Our next meeting is Thursday, March 17th, at Carlton Hall in Dennis. We'll be working further with Cellini Spiral, the same stitch we used last month for the ring.
March BSCC Class: Cellini ( pronounced Chel-ee-nee)
We will be working on 2 related components:
1) Cellini Spiral. This is the same stitch we used last month for the ring, only we will be using less beads –making it a smaller diameter spiral which will result in a spiral rope segment.
2) Flat Cellini. Using the same bead assortment and same stitch except instead of connecting it into a ring, we will be working it flat (side to side).
SUPPLIES:
1-3 gm of the following:
15o beads in 2 colors (A), (B)**
11o cylinder beads ( Delica or Toho) (C)
11o seed beads (D)
8o seed beads (E)
6o beads
Nymo, C-Lon, or other nylon thread, size D or 6# Fireline
Size 12 beading needle ( 2 ½”length is good)
All the rest of the usual stuff (light, mat, etc.)
Note on bead selection: Please have your beads ready at the start of class. Choose contrasting colors and textures to make it easier to keep your place. Choose mattes, opaques, regular transparents. Avoid silver-lined and crystals that are really shiny since as we all know they are more difficult see and count especially at night.
