Our October 16th meeting - Beaded Snowflake -- was attended by thirty people. The project was challenging, but people were very motivated and many were close to completion by the end of the evening. Thank you everyone who taught and made it happen!

The November 20th class will be Netted Beads. These beads can be strung later with a combination of other beads to make a necklace, bracelet or even a pair of earrings.

For the netted bead, you will need the following supplies:

• Large, round 12mm beads (After learning the technique you can experiment with different sizes … but for the class, use 12mm beads)
• 5 size 6/0 seed beads, for each 12mm bead
• 3 colors of size 11/0 seed beads, a small amount of each color, (preferably Japanese Matsunos)
• 2 beading needles
• Nymo D, Power Pro fishing line or Silamide beading thread
• Paper clips, quilting pins and ear nuts, or twist ties (something to put the 12mm bead on while you do the netting and to hold your work in place until you use the bead for a later project).

Cape Cod Bead Society Pot Luck Holiday Party - Tuesday, Dec 2nd.

This will be at the Dennis Senior Center, Koenig Hall, downstairs. There is an elevator in the building.

Bring a wrapped bead related item worth $10 for the grab bag.

There will be a Sign-up Sheet at the meeting for people who want to bring tasty items to the potluck. (hint, hint)

Bead and Meet at the Orleans Senior Center

Come to the "Bead and Meet" at the Orleans Senior Center. Please bring something beady to work on and have a fun time working and chatting with others. There is a $2 charge for use of the space.

The Bead and Meet will be the third Monday of the month, 1-3:30 pm in Room A.
